The Hoosier State Chinese Shar-Pei Club does not recommend, endorse, guarantee, nor rate breeders, their kennels, or their stock. Breeders’ Directory ads are not an endorsement of the HSCSPC. Buyers should be certain to check all matters relating to AKC registration, health, quality and stud agreements with the breeders, sellers or stud owners before making any decisions. The HSCSPC recommends contacting at least three breeders before making a buying decision.

As a recommended breeder, I agree to support and be governed by the Articles of Incorporation, By-laws and Rules and Regulations of the American Kennel Club and the Hoosier State Chinese Shar-Pei Club; and by such rules, regulations and policies as may be in force from time to time.

I agree to conduct myself so as to bring no reproach and discredit to the Shar-Pei Breeder community;

I agree to base all of my dealings on the highest plane of justice, fairness and morality;

I agree to neither buy nor sell Chinese Shar-Pei dogs of which the ownership is questionable;

I agree to conform to the accepted standards of dignified advertising;

I agree when selling a Chinese Shar-Pei dog to fully disclose the characteristics of the dog, it’s physical condition and to specifically identify any know deficiency when compared to the standard of the Chinese Shar-Pei in America;

I agree to include all of my placement contracts, a clause which states that in the event any placement does not work out, the dog is returned to me;

I agree to take immediate steps to correct any error I may make in any transaction;

I agree to provide an up to date record of vaccinations with each dog placed;

I agree to fulfill all contracts made by me, either orally or written;

I agree to give aid to individuals in their quest for knowledge of the breed;

I agree not to sell to pet stores, puppy mills, dog brokers, auctions, raffles or for dog fighting.
